Although it was confusing at first, I enjoyed working with Photoshop and I look forward to using it throughout the course. I tried to copy the magazine cover as accurately as I could and the effects - on the font, especially - enabled me to do so. Some of the effects that I used were 'Stroke', 'Drop Shadow', 'Bevel and Emboss' and 'Inner Glow'.
The image on the right is the original cover that I was told to duplicate. Because Photoshop did not have the same fonts, shapes and effects as the magazine did, we all had to adapt and make it our own in a sense. One thing I struggled with was the use of layers in and finding the right tools in the sidebar when using Photoshop.
Because we had the right program, we were able to transform and edit an image - without any photo manipulation - and make the finishing product look like a professional magazine cover.
